THE SET
The Flat Set brings together three tungsten carbide flat trimmers in a single system, each profile built for a different kind of cut at the wheel. The large hook reaches into undercuts and curved interior walls where straight tools can't follow, pulling clay with control through angles that would stop anything else. The medium triangle cuts on three edges simultaneously, defining transitions, sharpening shoulders, and articulating the junction between foot and body with geometric clarity. The small triangle takes that same precision into tighter spaces, finishing details and refining footrings where the medium can't fit.

About
Varadero Studio is a one-person practice based in Barcelona, working at the intersection of digital fabrication and studio ceramics.
The Obelisk Series came from a simple frustration: the tools available didn't match the standards I held for my own work. So I designed them. Tungsten carbide tips, carbon-fiber-reinforced handles, a hexagonal profile that stays where you put it.
Every tool is wheel-tested before it goes on sale and assembled by hand.
I also make ceramics. Utilitarian and decorative, thrown on the same wheel I use to test every trimmer. The two practices inform each other in ways that are difficult to explain and easy to see in the work.
